Early New Years Post

December 30th, 2007

As is the new tradition on here, I wil be doing my year end wrap up. I will, however, be doing it early, so I don’t have to go edit the posting date so it falls on tomorrow’s date. So here goes.

(Pretend it’s actually December 31st)

A year ago today I was gearing up for a party at Julie’s house. Getting beer, wine, champagne, and extra pairs of clothing ready to take over. Matt, Michelle, and I popped in, schmoozed a little, ate a little, and then decided that it wasn’t really our scene and snuck away only to retire to Michelle’s apartment. We counted down the last 10 seconds of the year, and toasted with a little champagne. Then because both Matt and Michelle are old people we went to bed.

2007 was an OK year. Some highlights:

- Worked with Brandon at ATBS for a few months as a web site templater. Got to work from home.

- Suffered the effects of mycotoxins (sp?) due to the hazardous mold level that developed in our apartment.

- Helped start Fzzz! Media (www.fzzz.tv).

- Learned a lot of Linux, Asterisk, and Networking stuff

- Grilled a lot of delicious meals, and just cooked a lot in general.

- Broke another bike chain.

- Got not one, but two new phones.

- Reunited with a long-lost (12 years) friend.

- Sent my Xbox360 in for repairs 3 times.

- Built a letterpress that has yet to be used.

- Quit smoking.

- Started, and then quit drinking beer. (Sorry)

I’d say despite the 6 months of mysterious illness, 2007 wasn’t too bad a year. So with that in mind, I look forward to another year of internet meems, tech products, and music.
